The umbrella body of Ẹdẹ youths, FEYDA has decried the very poor and unmotorable state of the network of intra-city roads in Ede, making a "Save Our Soul" call to the state government of Osun under the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to quickly as a matter of urgency, find a lasting solution to the eyesore.

The call was made when the president, Comrade Abdulazeez Miftahudeen Ìdòwú led his team to inspect the roads. The youth leader's first point of call is Agip-Aanu Olu-Stadium-Ahmaddiyah junction road which has become very bad and a source of concern to both motorists and residents of the area.
The youth leader said the condition of the road has not only cut off the people of the area from the rest of the town but has badly affected the economy as only a few people now ply the route.
"We urge the state govt to quickly bring succour to the suffering of the people of this area by swiftly mobilizing contractors to reconstruct the road. We have been meeting authorities in Ede South LGA and from what they told us, officials of the Ministry of Work had inspected the road"- Comrade Idowu
A resident of the area, Mr. Abidemi Badmus who spoke with FEYDA Press Crew said many people have left the area as accessing the area has become a nightmare and has affected the economy and social activities in the area. In his word.
"This was a very bustling area of Ede before but due to this bad road, it now looks like a ghost town. We are begging the state govt to come to our rescue", said Mr. Abidemi.
The president said he and his team will continue lobbying the state govt through the authorities of Ẹdẹ South LGA so that the road can be reconstructed on time.
