To: All Ẹdẹ sons and daughters, Lovers of development.

We have the pleasure of The Timi of Ẹdẹ, His Royal Majesty, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal (Laminisa1), the Ẹdẹ Descendants' Union under the able leadership of Prof. Ademola Olaitan and the entire sons and daughters of Ẹdẹ to thank you immensely for your past contributions in cash and kind for the uplift of our community especially the ongoing demarcation exercise in our two local governments. You are doing good today, you will do better tomorrow. In Shaa Allah.

Bearing in mind that government alone cannot provide for all the needs of her citizenry, our fathers about 36 years ago come together with a view to forming a common pool for the development of Ẹdẹ which was tagged Ẹdẹ Day.

The purpose of Ẹdẹ Day as stated by our founding fathers is about recognition and celebration of cultural unity, excellence, social interaction and bringing together sons and daughters of Ẹdẹ vas well as lovers of community development to congregate in a friendly environment and raise funds for the development of Ẹdẹ.

In the spirit of accountability and increased public awareness and a bid to satisfy the probing questions that may generate on what we do with the proceeds of the annual Ẹdẹ Day Celebration. May we bring to your esteemed attention the following projects that have been successfully executed from money raised for community development which are:

  1. Construction of ultra-modern City Hall.
  2. Construction Transformer Houses @ Anu-Olu Junction, Ẹdẹ.
  3. Retention and maintenance of the Ẹdẹ City Stadium.
  4. Building of Dining Hall and Kitchen at NYSC camp Ẹdẹ.
  5. Building of Alabere Palace, Abere, Ẹdẹ.
  6. Provision of hostels to NYSC with the duo of the erstwhile Council Chairmen, Late Musa Ololade and Alh. Kamorudeen Olagoke.
  7. Litigation on Abere and related landed matters.
  8. Electrification of District Magistrate Court Building at Oke-Iresi.
  9. Fortification of Computer Centre at Agbonran School of Science.
  10. Creation and refurbishing of High Court 2 at Aboto Ẹdẹ.
  11. Undertaking many other exigent matters for the progress and welfare of  Ẹdẹland.
Therefore, the ẸDẸ DAY CELEBRATION 2021 will come up by God's grace on Saturday 11TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 2021 in the premises of ẸDẸ HIGH SCHOOL, and the Central Planning Committee under the chairmanship of Professor D. O. Yinusa has agreed that this year celebration's major project is the creation of a WORLD CLASS MARKET HUB in Àkòdá Ẹdẹ, which will be dominated by indigenes and non-indigenes and other tribes will also be given opportunity to establish and trade in the said market.

✍️ Thank you.
