Barely a couple of days ago, the Federation of Ede Land Students Union (FELSU) National Body released a memo of the first-ever Academic Competition named after the Royal Majesty.

The Mathematics Competition will be the first of its kind since the coronation of Ọba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa 1, the Timi of áº¸dẹland and the first in honor of the First Class and the only Mathematician Ọba in the whole of Southwest. This should not come as a surprise to many, this is traceable as Ọba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal is a great Mathematician who set his record straight at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo in the department of Mathematics and Chemistry between 1977-1980. His passion for Mathematics took him far to Bayero University, Kano to study Mathematics and Library Science between 1981-1984.

The love for Mathematics and Numbers in the heart of our Royal Majesty gingered him to capitalize his academic bank with Masters in Business Administration at Ladoke Akintola University in 1988/89, and many more.

The expedient of the above is Ọba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal is a man of Number, a figure of Quick Thinker as it takes a whole effort of excellence to rose through figures and appraises the power of Numbers. This is one of the reasons FELSU tagged the maiden edition as THE QUICK THINKERS 21.

Our mission is to reignite the passion for academic excellence, encourage quick thinking ability, discover and nurture the gifted and talented among our students, above all, eliminate the phobia associated with the subject of Mathematics.

As part of the preparation for the competition, the National Mathematical Board (NMB) is all ready to put all hands on deck with FELSU to propagate the Quick Thinkers 21 in honor of the First Class Monarch (Ọba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Mathematics Competition 2021).
