On December 15, the Federation of Ede Land Students Union (FELSU) National Body sets another history as 87 students enter the Second Stage for the Race of the Quick Thinkers 21.
The Quick Thinkers 21 is the Mathematics Competition in honor of the first class Monarch and Mathematician, Ọba Dr Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa 1, and the first of its kind since the coronation of the Monarch in 2008. The Competition is powerfully sponsored by Hon. Bamidele Salam ESQ, the Hon Representing Ẹdẹ Federal Constituency.
In a quick reminder, the first stage took place on November 24th and 246 enters in the General entry-stage while only 87 Participants who met with the benchmark from the Junior and Senior Categories make it to the Pre-Quick Thinkers Exercise. Today, the Second Stage took place and 20 Participants make it out to fly the flag of the Ọba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Mathematics Competition 2021.
The Second Stage bears so many memorable figures as the participants were paired into 4 Mathematical Rooms under a Moderator to grind out the exceptional among the participants. And above all, 3 wild cards are thrown to participants in the two categories.
It is important to mention the boost received from Hon Bamidele Salam today as the Federal Lawmaker took time to recognise the FELSU officials on the ongoing Competition. In his brief with the FELSU officials, he extend a note of well done to the officials and Participants and encouraged the participants to continue to do well with exceptional attitudes to learning as it is the only measure to promote the high flying Education Development Era that FELSU is flying.
On a parting note, the Competition is supported by the National Mathematical Board while 5 Scholarship is up for grab for interested participants who wish to study courses in Sciences and Engineering, Courtesy of the Kibo University of Sciences and Technology.
